i've been watching and reading alot of christian related programs and read the bible and what is posted on forum's by fellow christian's . is it supose to touch u? i feel nothing when reading bible, im thinking this not a religion for me. what im trying to say is im not really drawn in to it then people. *

Im going under the assumption that you are a christian and not just searching. Do you pray before reading the bible? just try asking God to reveal something relevant to your life right now and see what happens... As a christian, I myself have gone through dry seasons where it seems like a fog is around me. *

Agrees with airwalker x Also i found that my faith grown since i found a church fellowship that works for me as in a group we learn and grow more where we stand still on our own *

Yes I always have doubts lurking in my mind. Only Jesus didn't, and that was because He has all the answers and knowledge as to what happened. Science IS NOT the enemy of Christ. *speaking for myself* I study the bible, searching for the answers within my heart, as well as talk to those in the body of christ to reason out my questions. Whether they are at my church, other churches, specialists in their field of profession, whatever. having doubt and questions is not a sin. *

I don't know if u will see this but I would highly recommend asking the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the truth, ask Jesus to increase your faith. Please read book 1John in your bible. Not John, although it's awesome too. 1 John. PS pray first. *

There can be any number of reasons for feeling empty or having no feeling when reading the Bible. Most of the time, its because you are lost, and you have never been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. If you read the epistle of 1 John you will recognize that one of the evidences that you are saved is that you hunger for the Word of God, that it really is your bread of life. I would ask, is this the norm, or are you describing something that happens now and then? *
