Sabbath must still be followed today along with the other 9 commandments. A lot of people make mistake that the Sabbath and the Ten Commandments was abolished in the cross. Are they right? Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. *

U knw... I hav lovd som explanation the-latter-rain.com on sabbath. Again heb 3-8 to me hold great reasonin on sabbath *

papidad 21.06.09 - 06:37am
The relevance of sabbath n d laws r completed in Christ Jesus. We read d Bible wit Him as d focal point or hub. *

papidad 21.06.09 - 06:38am
With our focal point on healin, Moses, or d law will mk us miss d point evn tho we read n study d same Bible. *

razor_03 21.06.09 - 07:12am
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! *

razor_03 21.06.09 - 07:18am
Under the new covenant, we are no longer under the law but under grace,.when we're under grace, we are in no knowledge follow the law. Works are the effect of faith. *

n1ck 21.06.09 - 08:17am
You must please read my topic about Sunday worship and the Sabbath. And please read Colossians 2:16-17. Also read John 5:8-18 and see that Jesus Himself broke the Sabbath. The Sabbath law was a ceremonial law. Not a moral law. *

papidad 21.06.09 - 09:10am
Razor A Christian doesnt sin bcz grace abounds. Neither is he savd in keepin d law. It is a relationship whr he livs to *

n1ck why are you replying in this post and not your other posts? Im waiting for the 80 questions. *

razor_03 23.06.09 - 02:46am
n1ck, Jesus did not broke the Sabbath itself. What He broke was the traditions of men. The rabbis reduced the Sabbath to an absurdity by their meaningless distinction between what could and could not be done on that day. They added unnecessary laws. Moreover, Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath, He would not certainly broke it by Himself. *

razor_03 23.06.09 - 02:50am
About the verses you said in Col. , there were seven yearly holy days, or holidays in ancient Israel which were also called sabbaths. These were addition to, or 'beside the Sabbaths of the Lord' or the seventh day Sabbath. (Lev.23:38) *

razor_03 23.06.09 - 03:00am
There are two laws, the Moses' Law and God's Law. Moses' Law contained in ordinance (Eph. 2:15), written by a book (2 Chronicles 35:12), placed outside the ark (Deut. 31:26), ended at the cross (E ph 2:15) and added because of sin (Gal 3:19) *

razor_03 23.06.09 - 03:04am
On the other hand, God's Law placed inside the ark (Ex 40:20), will stand forever (Luke 16:17), perfect (Psalms 19:7) and written by God on stone (Ex. 31:18, 32:16) In short, the Ten Commandments. *

razor_03 23.06.09 - 03:09am
The Sabbath day is already there since the Creation. God sanctified the seventh day before sin entered in this world. *

soldier2 24.06.09 - 02:42am
razor just for the record, what is your denomination? Great post by the way. *

iilmadme 24.06.09 - 05:15am

razor_03 25.06.09 - 04:24am
ya, i don't seem find a church that is Bible-based only..'almost' all of them are corrupt...but someday, i believe that i will find God's true church. *

n1ck 27.06.09 - 01:40pm
How can there possibly be any difference between ''the law of God'' and the ''Law of Moses'' when God gave the Law of Moses (Ezra 7:6; Nehemiah 8:1) and Moses gave the Law of God (Nehemiah 10:29; 2 Chronicles 34:14)? *

n1ck 27.06.09 - 01:41pm
If the 10 commandments remain but the book of law was abolished, then why did God put two copies of the 10 commandments in the book of the law? (Exodus 20; Deuteronomy 5) *

soldier2 27.06.09 - 01:52pm
n1ck what are you talking about? What was different about Moses restating the 10 commandments in Deuteronomy 5? Aren't they the same 10 commandments? The point is via God wrote the 10 commandments with His finger and then He told Moses to write the laws and ordinances that the Nation of Israel was to be governed by.This was what was nailed to the cross.n1ck can you nail two tables of stone to wood? *

n1ck 27.06.09 - 01:57pm
hilarious.GIF soldier2, they werent literally nailed to the cross *

n1ck 27.06.09 - 02:00pm
Ok ok look you obviously dont grasp the concept properly. Let me ask you this: do you agree that the 10 commandments were the old covenant? *

soldier2 27.06.09 - 02:08pm
No they were not. They are eternal *

n1ck 27.06.09 - 02:51pm
Exodus 34:28

And he (Moses) was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. *

soldier2 27.06.09 - 11:28pm
Yes n1ck.What is your point? *

n1ck 29.06.09 - 07:23am
So you agree then that the ten commandments were the old covenant? *

soldier2 29.06.09 - 04:01pm
Oh I understand you now.And no the 10 commandments were not the old covenant. They were not anything new.The Sabbath was Holy from the begining, killing was a sin from the begining.Worshipping false gods was a sin from the begining.God gave the 10 commandments as a formal agreement between Him and the Nation of Israel. The old covenant was simply the sanctuary and all that were a part of it.Jesus death doesn't affect the 10 commandments in any way. *

n1ck 29.06.09 - 04:59pm
Then you are denying Exodus 34:28 *

soldier2 29.06.09 - 05:03pm
No Im not. What I am telling you is that the 10 commandments were nothing new. They were statutory form the beginning of time. *

soldier2 29.06.09 - 05:05pm
As I told you it was a formal agreement or a written legal document between God and Israel as a nation *

n1ck 29.06.09 - 05:20pm
Read Exodus 34:28 again. Ok wait, I will post the last part of it again for you:

....And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. *

n1ck 29.06.09 - 05:28pm
Perhaps you would prefer that we all throw our Bibles away and read Ellen White's books instead... *

soldier2 29.06.09 - 05:31pm
n1ck that text doesnt say that the 10 commandments are the old covenant. Why are you trying to make it say what it doesnt? We know what the old covenant is.At Jesus death the veil of the tabernacle tore in two.
*

soldier2 29.06.09 - 05:36pm
And what is most important is what sunday worshippers overlook. The whole earthly sanctuary was a pattern of the heavenly one.So right now the 10 commandments are in the heavenly sanctuary. So how can it be in heaven and but abolished on earth? *

n1ck 29.06.09 - 05:42pm
Can you show us the verse in the Bible that says the ten commandments are in the heavenly sanctuary? *

soldier2 29.06.09 - 05:59pm
Revelation.11:19-And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. *

n1ck 30.06.09 - 05:32am
ok thank you. So you believe that we will be living by the ten commandments in heaven, and the ten commandments will be enforced in heaven, is that it? *

soldier2 30.06.09 - 03:37pm
Yes its God's eternal law but there will be no sin in heaven so there will be no problem keeping them. *

soldier2 30.06.09 - 03:41pm
n1ck the point is that the 10 commandments are in the heavenly ark just like it was in the earthly one and those that dont keep them on earth will surely not make it to heaven.Infact on earth, not even his prayer will be heard. *

soldier2 30.06.09 - 03:42pm
Proverbs.28:9He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. *
